Hidden Mayan Gems

The full-day trip includes a visit to the archaeological zone of Tulum, one of the most picturesque Mayan monuments, standing on the edge of a fifteen-meter cliff above the azure Caribbean Sea, you will taste traditional local specialties including cochinita pibil, you will visit the mysterious ancient city of Cobá, which is located in the tropical forest 50 km from Tulum. And finally, you will visit a small Mayan village and also refresh yourself in the Tankach-Ha cenote.

Standing on a cliff directly above the azure Caribbean Sea, Tulum was once an important Mayan trading port. It offers a charming view of the second largest coral barrier in the world.

The ancient city of Cobá is located in the tropical forest 50 km from Tulum. Here you will see the largest pyramid “Nohoch Mul”, which measures 42 meters and is the highest in the state of Yucatan. At the same time, the most well-preserved white Mayan roads, the so-called “Sac Be”, can be found here.

After visiting Cobá, you will go to Tankach-Ha cenote to cool off and then visit a small Mayan village where you will see how the indigenous people of Yucatan still live.
