Hacienda Temozón is a living museum, once a thriving sisal producer in the 19th century.
The majestic Main House welcomes our guests with its distinctive red color, standing out amidst gardens filled with biodiversity. It features 28 rooms and suites, each named after its original function: for example, the pharmacy and the school. Each room and suite feature a hammock for enjoying a nap in the Maya style.
The restaurant “Casa Temozón” located on the main terrace, offers a variety of regional dishes. Our chef combines the culinary delights of a typical Yucatecan cuisine with the mouth-watering mixture of Mexican flavors. Additionally, the exclusive Taller Maya boutique showcases creations designed especially for our guests, blending ancestral Yucatán techniques with contemporary design and supporting fair trade.
The refreshing pool is located near the Machine House, where original steam machines used for sisal production are exhibited. The Hacienda actively participates in experiences intertwined with community projects, such as the “Maize Museum”, featuring a mural dedicated to the Maya worldview of maize and a photographic exhibition of traditional milpa, along with an installation showcasing the original corn varieties of Yucatán.
